AMAZON SUSTAINABILITY CIRCLE

For three decades, we have consolidated the development of an incredible model of sustainability in ecotourism. Through the operation of our cruises in the Ecuadorian Amazon, we consistently work towards sustainable development. By seeking the commitment of all actors involved with conservation, preserving the environment through our operation.

Here starts the journey of our operation through the Napo river, represented by our cruises (A). Anakonda Amazon Cruises has a level of commitment to the environment, and that is why our operation has carried out social and environmental responsibility. Our goal is to achieve benefits for all the ones involved in each experience we offer to you. Strong relationships with the communities and local authorities are of great importance for this model to continue developing in harmony.

You are welcomed from all over the world to experience an incredible trip to a unique landscape. Guests (B) are one of the most important contributors to this sustainable model. As you embark on the cruises and alongside the trip, you would be able to meet the communities with the native guides, taste the food, and have a comfortable space and activities onboard.

There are about 18 communities (C) along the Napo River where our vessels navigate. Our collaborative work has been carried out through specific agreements with the Cofanes, Secoyas, and Kichwas. This accordance with the leaders of each group allows us to share with us the ancestral knowledge and mysteries of the jungle by the natives themselves. Being able to interact with native communities in certain activities will connect you in a single world in the Ecuadorian Amazon. It is the magic of the circle of sustainability. These interactions have a return to the community that will help them maintain their way of life and also expand the opportunity to preserve the environment and their animals.

Also, it has created sources of employment for local guides, crew, and the possibility of offering local products and handicrafts for sale for you to purchase.

Every actor is a prime player in our Circle of Sustainability, the amazon nature (D) represents the pristine habitat for unique species of animals and plants, which make the scenery a unique place to visit. The environment is the main scenery of the circle since it is the stage where everything takes place. In this magical place, you will find astounding biodiversity, and that is why our interest is always to be able to create ways to preserve this environment. The Amazon Rainforest in Ecuador represents 2% of the Amazon. However, we have the highest concentration of plant and animal species compared to other places in the world. It is for this reason that Ecuador has a unique selvatic heritage.

Transportation, government entities, staff, and local alliances with communities function as external contributors (E); their role is of utmost importance for us to present the best touristic offer. As guests and explorers, you are great partners to promote together a unique adventure through cultural exchange in the Ecuadorian Amazon while supporting sustainability.
